"At bottom is the best soil to sow and grow something new again. In that sense, hitting bottom, while extremely painful, is also the sowing ground." - Clarissa Pinkola-Estes
It is possible to find more ease within yourself, to worry less, sleep better, and feel connected with yourself. Often major life events create a rupture in our world and healing takes time, which is something our society doesn't fully accept. It is possible to feel like you can manage anxiety instead of it managing you. It is possible to move through a horrible event, death, trauma, end of relationship and have a guide with you on the journey. It is possible for depression to be a catalyst for great change. It is possible to feel freer and more like yourself than you ever have.
I'm passionate about supporting women who are going through these difficulties and more. I work with individuals who identify as having anxiety, OCD, sexual assault, grief, depression, and individuals who like to have a therapeutic support system in their life. I also work with women who want to explore their relationship with their mother or daughter, intergenerational patterns, and how patriarchy has impacted their life and the lives of women before them. I work with:
-adult daughters
-moms of all ages
-adult daughters who have a mom that: died; is estranged in some way; or feels very disconnected
-women becoming mom's who want to break negative patterns and cycle, releasing intergenerational trauma.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, I weave together clinical knowledge and intuitive insight in our sessions, raising questions to help you better attune to your wisdom. I believe that we can live a full and rich life when we learn how to integrate the deep losses and pain we experience. I'm here to help you learn how to hold what is broken even though it may seem impossible. I am a trauma informed therapist with strong clinical training in grief, anxiety, ambiguous loss, mother-daughter attachment and relationships. I bring a holistic perspective through my background of 10 years as a yoga teacher (RYT500). I am clinically trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy and the integration of yoga, spirituality or religion (any religion) in therapy, I'm interested in working with you as a whole person.
